This week, 89.7 NPR News says farewell to Click and Clack, America’s funniest auto mechanics. The final show of Car Talk will air Saturday, September 30 at 1pm on 89.7 NPR News.

The late Tom Magliozzi and his brother Ray revolutionized public radio with the debut of Car Talk, which quickly became one of NPR’s most beloved programs. Ray says it’s time to step aside and make room for new programs.

“It could be your next favorite show, or it could be a disaster – the next Car Talk,” jokes Ray. “It’s been a tremendous honor and privilege to be able to waste an hour with you on WOSU every week. We thank you.”

You can still hear The Best of Car Talk podcast on the WOSU Public Media mobile app.
