WOSU Public Media’s Ross mediaLab is the training ground for the next generation of content producers. But technology isn’t just for young people! Join WOSU for fun new classes for parents and their children, ages 9-18 years old. Seating is limited to 5 parent/child registration so you get the most out of your experience together. Taught by ITSCO, the leading technology trainer and resource for teachers throughout central Ohio, families will learn in a fun and safe environment.


iPods and Podcasting - Fee is $210
Tap into the power of the iPod. There are an overwhelming number of great podcast resources on the web. This class will help participants find and subscribe to great podcasts for use with the entire family. From nursery rhymes and educational programming to lectures from Ivy League universities, there is something for everyone in the world of podcasts. A 4 GB iPod nano id included for you to keep!

    Geocaching: A Lifelong Adventure - $185 per registration
    Geocaching takes treasure hunting, adds GPS technology and actively engages you in a fun learning experience. In this class, participants will work together as a team to learn how to use a GPS receiver, find hidden geocaches, receive additional resources and leave with a GPS device. Sign-up today, learn what Geocaching is and how it can become a lifelong activity. A GPS unit is included for you to keep!

    Digital Scrapbooking - $60 per registration, and $145 with software purchase
    It's all the fun of scrapbooking in the digital world. Combine journaling with digital images and the possibilities are endless. This class serves as an introduction to digital scrapbooking using Photoshop Elements (PSE). Skills covered include navigating the PSE work area, inserting and manipulating images and photo restoration. PSE software is included for you to keep!
