WOSU believes public broadcasting can only be as great as the community of which we are a part, and we are part of a great community!
We are committed to building innovative models of community service that engage people in ideas, issues, and the diverse cultural life of our region. We have always been out and about in central Ohio: Ready To Learn regularly engages those who teach the young and week by week you can run into our hosts—Christopher Purdy, Boyce Lancaster, John Rittmeyer, and Fred Andrle—as they speak at live events, host live performances, and generally educate and entertain Central Ohioans!

Community Invited to share videos, photos, and stories for documentary "Columbus Neighborhoods" WOSU Public Media is working on a series of television documentaries about historic neighborhoods in Columbus called "Columbus Neighborhoods." The first subject for the series will be the Short North neighborhood and the Arts District. Individuals with historical videos, photos, or stories about these neighborhoods can reserve a time to share their information with WOSU. All videotaped interviews will be posted to www.wosu.org and some will be included in the documentary series. To reserve a time to share your videos, photos, and stories, call (614) 292-9678.

Caregivers An extension of our radio series hosted by Judith Brachman, former director of Ohio Department of Aging. Topics include AARP, Alzheimer’s disease, Medicare, and other issues of interest to the elderly and their families.

Talk to Me (Health Literacy) WOSU Public Media and the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging have teamed up to provide senior citizens and their caregivers with advice on how to best communicate with health care professionals, based on advice from doctors and pharmacists. |

Ready to Learn Ohio's Ready to Learn is a state-funded program targeted to home-based care providers for children birth to age three.
