Napa Kitchen + Bar is a popular addition to the Dublin restaurant scene. Located in the former Mary Kelley’s location, Napa is a new offering from the folks at the Wine Bistro.
Napa Kitchen + Bar is very attractive with sort of a ski lodge or country inn decor, lots of wood, fireplaces and some smaller spaces, which facilitate conversation. Our server was very pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed “shopping” the wine shelves, and picking out wines of interest.
We visited Napa with friends on a Tuesday evening, which is “half price wine night.” We shared a 2013 Heitz Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon and the baked French brie in a phyllo shell with orange marmalade, apples and strawberries ($9.50 for a small portion).
Our companions enjoyed the harvest salmon salad with maple-Dijon vinaigrette, walnuts, pears, blueberries and goat cheese ($15). My friend tried the beef stroganoff with burgundy mushrooms, caramelized onions and sour cream on pappardelle pasta ($16). I ordered the nicely priced Angus chuck burger with bacon, white cheddar, arugula, tomato and good fries ($12).
The rest of the expansive menu includes a number of small plates and bits to share, including a fondue trio ($13.50), hummus trio ($12.50) and calamari ($12). Five salads are available and reasonably priced at $7 and $8; seven pizzas ($13 and $14); five pastas ($16 to $20). Fries are included with six sandwiches ($12 and $13) and you can add a salad ($5). Entrees number six and range from $17 to $31.
Napa Kitchen + Bar offers good food, value pricing and a nice wine selection.
