WOSU provides live coverage of OSU Presidential Announcement

WOSU will have live coverage this afternoon from the OSU Longaberger Alumni House of the historic naming of a new President.  Coverage begins at 4 pm of the OSU Board of Trustees meeting and the appointment of the 15th President in Ohio State’s 143-year history.

Dr. Michael Drake, current Chancellor at the University of California – Irvine, is expected to be named.

WOSU will provide:

  • Live TV Coverage beginning at 4:15 pm on WOSU OHIO – The Ohio Channel hosted by Mike Thompson with OSU Professor Tim Gerber
  • 89.7 NPR News coverage of the remarks from the new President
  • Live webstream of the TV coverage starting at 4:20 pm on wosu.org

WOSU is also providing satellite uplink services to the University so stations across the country can tune in and use portions of the announcement for their local newscasts.
