Three Retirements = A loss of 115 years of Experience
WOSU lost three of its stellar staff to retirement this week.
Phyllis Madry started at WOSU in 1975 and for the last 18 years has served as our membership or individual giving manager;
Tom Lahr retires after an amazing career that started in 1964 on the WOSU TV studio crew and concludes after 22 years as WOSU TV Chief Engineer;
Sheri Walker retired once and came back about ten years ago to serve as Assistant General Manager, but since 2006, she has run the WOSU studio facility at COSI.
WOSU had a party yesterday to honor all three of these devoted staff, who have distinguished themselves not only through their longevity, but their qualities as a WOSU leader and as a person. All three have won the top award we give internally to WOSU Staff for service – The I. Keith Tyler/Robert Higgy Award.
