Like most of America, public radio stations learned this morning that the over two decade run of Talk of the Nation will end in a few months. WOSU will be considering all options in replacing the program, which airs from 2-4 pm daily on 89.7 FM.
Call the Midwife Season 2 and Mr. Selfridge premieres this Sunday night on WOSU TV.
As you may know, WOSU TV carries 12 hours of PBS Kids programming Monday through Friday. What you and I didn’t know until now is how much traffic to the web version of PBS Kids is generated in central Ohio.
A recent paid ad in the Columbus Dispatch made me laugh out loud. The full page ad blares a headline “Public gets Free TV with no monthly bills” as if this was a revolutionary new concept. WOSU TV PBS has been serving Columbus for free for 56 years.
Last Friday night, the NPR program From The Top came to the McCoy Center for the Arts in New Albany. WOSU was the media sponsor for the evening.
