Foreclosures during the Great Recession added to thousands of blighted properties in Columbus. But, a state program helped fund demolition of many of those houses and apartment units.
Weekday Nights at 7:30pm Are All New
WOSU TV premieres a new line-up of programming at 7:30pm Monday through Friday.Â On two of the five days we’re proud to present two local programs for our viewers to sample.Â One’s been around for a few years and debuts on a new day and the other is a brand new weekly magazine series focusing on arts and culture.
Last year WOSU TV celebrated 30 years ofÂ our weekly high school quiz show IN THE KNOW.Â Â This ever-popular quiz program begins year 31 on Tuesday nights at 7:30pm.Â Host Bill Schiffman asks questions of eight students (four on each team). The questions are based on general high school subjects ranging from science to visual arts.Â Â On Wednesday night at 7:30pm WOSU TV premieres our brand new weekly magazine show BROAD & HIGH.Â In Broad & High, we explore the culture and art thatÂ make central Ohio a great community.Â Hosted by Audrey Hasson this week’s episode will preview the new wing of The Columbus Museum of Art, Travel back to the 1950′s and step into a Lustron Home, and meet the caretakers of the Greenlawn Abbey as they work to preserve the landmark.
