If you’re still feeling the glow fromÂ the Andrea Bocelli concert or didn’t get the chance to attend and need a fix, here’s your chance.Â On Friday evening at 9pm WOSU TV will present the special ANDREA BOCELLI LIVE IN CENTRAL PARK.Â Â Bocelli accompanied by the New York Philharmonic sings a variety of classical favorites and many of his most popular signature songs. The performance, recorded live from Central Park in September, also features special guests from the worlds of opera and popular music.
We’ll change things up on Saturday night at 8pm with a new “My Music” special, 60′s POP ROCK & SOUL.Â Hosted by Peter Noone and Davy Jones,Â legends of the 1960s unite in this all-new live performance. Focusing on the years 1965 – 1969,Â this special concertÂ includes pop sounds from Frat Rock to Surf Pop, the British Beat to Motown and Soul.Â Many of the artists and groups are appearing for the first time on the “My Music” stage.
Finally what many of you have been waiting for, a new concert special from Celtic Woman.Â Join us on Sunday night at 8pm for CELTIC WOMAN: BELIEVE.Â BELIEVE stars vocalists Chloe Agnew, Lisa Kelly, Lisa Lambe and Celtic violinist Mairead Nesbitt, performing classic Irish songs, timeless pop anthems like “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and inspirational songs.Â Filmed this summer in Atlanta, we’ll have ticket opportunities to their BELIEVE concert coming to Columbus next year as a thank you for renewing your membership or becoming a new member ofÂ WOSU.
If you’re looking for a break from all the music specials we’ve got a great new program for you.Â Dick Proenneke is back withÂ ALONE IN THE WILDERNESS PART TWO.Â Â Join us on Sunday night at 6:30pm for this sequel that chronicles Proenneks’s simple, yet profound account of his 30-year adventure in the remote Alaska wilderness. Â Watch as he continues to document through his 16mm wind-up Bolex camera, his own amazing craftsmanship, the stunning Alaskan wildlife and scenery and even a visit from his brother, Jake (who helped shoot some of the film used in this documentary).
