A television ad that supports same-sex marriage will begin running on stations across the state Wednesday. It’s the first marriage equality ad to be broadcast since Ohioans enacted a gay marriage ban ten years ago.
Earlier this week I received a call from a nice gentleman who wanted to know what concerts we had coming up on WOSU TV. As our conversation progressed I could tell he had pen and paper in hand and was all ready to write down air dates and times!
We went through the upcoming schedule, talked about the concerts we’ll be airing, the performers, and the songs they sing. He was planning ahead, getting all the information he needed to determine which program he wanted to use to renew his membership. I think we got it all worked out and he had settled on a possible two programs. The decision will be made on Saturday night after he’s seen his two picks.
This Saturday we go full force into our August membership drive. If you’re a loyal viewer you’ll see some favorites, but we also have a nice mix of new programs. The concerts during this August membership drive are really great! If you’re thinking about becoming a member for the first time or remember that you need to renew your membership, I hope you’ll check out some of the new shows we have scheduled. I’ve provided some clips for a “sneak peek”. You may want to plan ahead just like this week’s caller.
