This program tells the uniquely American story of industrial genius Carl Strandlund and his attempt to revolutionize the America’s Post WW II housing industry by the use of mass production. Standlund’s Lustron home, made entirely of porcelain-enameled steel, would re-invent the entire home building industry but his plan was toppled by government politics and corruption.
