In The Know

This ever-popular quiz program hosted by Bill Schiffman attracts enthusiastic participation from high schools throughout central and southern Ohio. The program host asks questions of eight students (four on each team), with judge Manuel M. Wilson officiating and tabulating the scores.

2012-13 marks the 30th season of In The Know on WOSU. For the history of In The Know, view the list of past champions.

The questions are based on general high school subjects ranging from science to visual arts. The Ohio State University awards scholarships to the top four high school teams, and Westfield Insurance awards grants to the top eight teams. All games are played at our studios at WOSU@COSI.

In the Know Celebrity Challenge

To recognize the 30th anniversary year, a special edition is being produced – In the Know Celebrity Challenge.

This unique version of the quiz show will pit corporate teams against one another for local bragging rights as true captains of industry.

The In the Know Celebrity Challenge will premiere on WOSU TV April 28 at 7 pm after a marathon of the best championship games of In the Know from 3–7 pm.

Classic In the Know Championship Matchs

As a part of the Sunday Special, beginning at 3 pm on April 28, watch eight classical championship matches from the last three decades. The matches include:

3 pm – 1992 Championship: Bexely vs. Upper Arlington
3:30 pm – 1994 Championship: St. Charles vs. Upper Arlington
4 pm – 1999 Championship: Columbus Alternative vs. Lancaster
4:30 pm – 2000 Championship: Columbus Alternative vs. Grove City
5 pm – 2001 Championship: Bexley vs. Grandview Heights
5:30 pm – 2007 Championship: Fisher Catholic vs. Dublin Coffman
6 pm – 2010 Championship: Bexley vs. Dublin Scioto
6:30 pm – 2013 Championship: Upper Arlington vs. Bexley
