A forensic pathologist says U.S. Rep. James A. Traficant Jr.’s death appears to be linked to positional asphyxiation – his inability to breathe after a vintage tractor tipped over on him a week ago at his family farm.
It’s time once again for Upstairs Downstairs
I’ve heard about the original “Upstairs Downstairs” series but must confess I’ve never seen it. I was a bit young at the time to be interested in the goings on at 165 Eaton Place. However now that I’m a little older and an avid fan of MASTERPIECE CLASSIC and MASTERPIECE MYSTERY programs, I’ve been patiently waiting for this new version to make its debut. I cheated and watched the preview version a couple of weeks ago. One of the perks of being the TV programmer. I won’t give a lot away but it is worth the wait!!
Masterpiece Classic:Upstairs Downstairs begins Sunday, April 10 at 9pm on WOSU TV.
Repeats can be seen Monday’s at 9pm on WOSU PLUS beginning April 11.
How was that for a little tease? Okay, okay here’s a bit more. Set in 1936, the story continues at 165 Eaton Place with new characters upstairs and down in a three-part sequel to the 1970′s MASTERPIECE series. Happily Jean Marsh returns as Rose. In the first episode the upstairs family, the Hollands, move into the old house and promptly hire Rose to assemble the downstairs staff. The first party in the newly renovated home doesn’t go very well and the master of the house finds himself in some trouble.
Grab your popcorn or set your DVD, this is a Masterpiece you don’t want to miss!
