A state legislative panel has authorized the Ohio Lottery to spend $22.5 million to build and operate new electronic raffle machines for veterans’ posts and fraternal organizations.

The documentary focuses on the impact of the Morrill Act, which celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2012. The Morrill Act passed in 1862 was named after Vermont Congressman Justin Morrill. The act established federal funding for higher education which created the land grant university system, leading to the development of The Ohio State University.
