Foreclosures during the Great Recession added to thousands of blighted properties in Columbus. But, a state program helped fund demolition of many of those houses and apartment units.
WOSU TV premiered COLUMBUS NEIGHBORHOODS: CLINTONVILLE this past Sunday. Â If you missed the premiere, be sure to tune in or set your DVR to record the program on Thursday, January 3o, at 9pm.
The Clintonville story starts with the Adena earthen mounds. Throughout the program we learn about the neighborhood that began as farms and transitioned to a bustling suburb.  I particularly enjoyed hearing the story of  Olentangy Park and Graceland Mall.
If you want to catch up with some of the other neighborhoods in the series, tune in on Sunday for this week’s SUNDAY SHOWCASE to see the stories of; Olde Towne East, South Side and Clintonville.
