A statue of Jerrie Mock was dedicated at Port Columbus Airport to commemorate the 50th anniversary of becoming the first woman to complete a solo flight around the world.
America in Primetime
I really like to watch TV. I get excited when I stumble across an airing of a long forgotten classic TV show. I just recently watched the very first episode of “LOST IN SPACE”. It’s a good thing I work in an environment of like minded people, as I was able to discuss this event with a colleague who also watched this classic episode. In the past WOSU TV has aired programs focusing on the people who started our love affair with the TV and most recently aired a series of programs on the various TV genres. This Sunday we take another look at TV but in a very different way.
“AMERICA IN PRIMETIME“ lets you the viewer experience the creative process of TV from the inside out by giving you access to the community who creates primetime TV. The producers conducted more than 100 in-depth interviews with the creators, writers and actors of primetime. If you’re a real TV fan you will enjoy hearing the stories behind the curtains.
“AMERICA IN PRIMETIME” is a four-part series that begins Sunday, October 30 at 8:00pm on WOSU TV. Each episode will focus on one character type that has remained a staple of primetime through the generations. We start with the Independent Woman, then focus on the Man of the House, the Misfit, and finally the Crusader. It’s interesting to see how each character type has evolved over the years.
If you want to see just how familiar are you with each one of these character types and the shows they were on, take the TV Trivia Quiz and test your knowledge. In the meantime be sure to check out “AMERICA IN PRIMETIME“, Sunday’s at 8:00pm on WOSU TV with an encore presentation Monday’s at 8:00pm on WOSU PLUS.
