A new report on children’s use of media shows that television still dominates the eyeballs of children under eight years of age. It also shows that public television is the primary source of educational media for the children of America! One part of the study found that kids’ use of mobile media such as smart phones and tables has tripled in the past two years, but TV remains the major source of media for young children.
WOSU TV is proud to air 11 hours of PBS Kids curriculum-based programming (that is also very entertaining) for our young viewers in central and southern Ohio. This programming is free and specifically developed to help children build reading, match, science and school readiness skills. Check out our daily lineup starting with WordWorld at 6 am and concluding with Cyberchase at 5 pm. In between, you can join your child or grandchild in a world of discovery with Wild Kratts, Curious George, Sesame Street, Thomas & Friends and much more.
