WOSU listeners – I’m passing on the unfortunate news of the resignation of Gary Knell as President and CEO of NPR. Gary has been a dynamic leader for NPR, but is leaving after two years with the network. He will be missed. I wanted to share a portion of his letter to NPR stations today.
89.7 NPR News swept just about every reporting category and was named the Outstanding Radio News Operation by the Ohio Associated Press over the weekend.
It was an unprecedented day of breaking news last Friday after a night of violence and chaos in Boston.Â WOSU’sÂ 89.7 NPR News provided live programming from NPR and the Boston NPR affiliate WBUR throughout the day and into the night.Â
Like most of America, public radio stations learned this morning that the over two decade run ofÂ Talk of the Nation will end in a few months. WOSU will be considering all options in replacing the program, which airs from 2-4 pm daily on 89.7 FM.
