Be Careful Out There

It’s not often The Ohio State University campus closes down, but it’s reflective of the real danger of extremely cold conditions.

One vivid memory growing up in Wisconsin was when I came in the house after playing football in the snow and told my Mom that I couldn’t feel my hands.  She ran some cold water on them and they immediately stung with pain.  It felt like scalding water. Lesson learned. Be careful out there and hunker down if you can.  And it could be worse.

The current temperature on this Monday morning in my La Crosse hometown is minus 19 degrees without any wind chill.
