Mandie Trimble was named Best Radio Reporter in Ohio by the Associated Press Media Editors Association.

In competition with Ohio public and commercial radio stations, WOSU Public Media is proud to announce our own Mandie Trimble was named Best Reporter in Ohio by the Associated Press Media Editors Association.

The 89.7 NPR News team also brought home three second place awards:

  • Best Anchor – Second place to 89.7 NPR News Morning Anchor Steve Brown.
  • Best Documentary or Series – Second place to Reporter Mandie Trimble for “Mental Health Treatment”, a three-part series that examined the evolution of mental health treatment.
  • Best Continuing Coverage – Second place to 89.7 NPR News for “Columbus School Crisis”, a week-long series that examined Columbus City School District’s levy and bond issue that faced voters last year.
