As you likely have heard by now, long-time afternoon program Talk of the Nation hosted by Neal Conan will no longer be produced by NPR, so we have been searching for a replacement program over the past few months.  WOSU 89.7 NPR News is excited to start airing Here & Now from 2 to 4 pm weekday afternoons starting in July. This is a live production from NPR and WBUR-Boston hosted by Robin Young and Jeremy Hobson.  We’ve also made the decision to retain the Friday afternoon program Science Friday with host Ira Flatow.  As these programs air, please let us know your thoughts!  We will miss Neal and the wit of “Political Junkie” Ken Rudin, but Ken will still be heard periodically on our local talk program, All Sides with Ann Fisher.

Science Friday was one of the few programs that i changed my schedule for. The website says it has been retained, but it has not been broadcast on Friday for the last two weeks. Where is it?

I am very unhappy with the lack of Science Friday on Friday afternoons. My daughter is still getting it in Syracuse. I don’t understand what our problem is. I, too, would make a point of arranging my schedule to listen to it, especially after I receive their newsletter telling me of the segments that will be aired. I use what I’ve learned in my teaching, share with my friends, family, etc. This is sad!!!

I’ve been wondering why it hasn’t been on. SF was my favorite weekday program :(
