Before he stopped in downtown Columbus, newt Gingrich stopped by the home of the Wright brothers.   The two Ohio bicycle makers took $500 and outsmarted everyone else who was trying to fly.  Gingrich said that’s the kind of thinking the country needs, and that’s why he made his controversial proposal to colonize the moon.

“We need bold dreams, We need the kind of exciting future that get young  people to study engineering that gets them to study science and math and gets them thrilled they can be a part of a better America,” Gingrich told a crowd of nearly 200 people.

Gingrich repeated his claim that he was the true conservative in the GOP race and that a moderate like former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney cannot beat President Obama.

Gingrich came to Columbus even though Ohio’s primary is 4 weeks away because he’s trying to convince supporters to take advantage of early voting.
