Megabus Expands Columbus Service

The discount bus line Megabus says it will soon expand its Columbus service with daily departures to and from Pittsburgh. It’s one more sign that intercity bus transportation in the U.S. is making a comeback.

Postal workers picketed the outside the main post office on Twin Rivers Drive today to protest proposed outsourcing and location closures. But Postal Service officials say that because of huge budget shortfalls, they don’t have much of a choice.

Some Columbus Postal Branches Close For An Hour At Mid-day

Customers at one Columbus post office are finding themselves out of luck at lunch time. The postal service says low mail volume and declining client le have forced it to close the Clintonville Post Office between 12 noon and 1 p.m. Two other postal branches are now closing for an hour in the middle of the day. And there are more closings on the way.

The National Weather Service says between 3 inches and 5 inches of snow could fall in southwest, central, and southeast Ohio beginning tonight through Wednesday. Meteorologist Dahrlie Woodrum says snow will arrive in Central Ohio early Tuesday morning as low pressure moves out of the Southern Great Plains.
