Under the new program, Ohio meat producers with 25 or fewer employees that have only passed state inspections can sell their meat outside of Ohio. Inter-state sales previously required producers to pass a federal inspection.

The USDA-backed Cooperative Interstate Shipment Program loosens restrictions on Ohio farmers hoping to sell their meat outside of the state.
