Unemployment Rate Edges Up As Employers Shed 20,000 Jobs
Ohio's unemployment rose to 7.1 percent in March. The state's workforce shrank by 20,400 workers, while a second survey of workers showed about 1,000 people joined the ranks of the unemployed.

Just 88,000 jobs were added to private and public payrolls in March. The jobless rate still edged down to 7.6 percent — but only because nearly half a million fewer people were in the labor force.
State Unemployment Ticks Down After 13,900 New Jobs in October
Ohio's unemployment fell to 6.9 percent last month, the second straight drop after a summer of flat employment reports.
The report from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services lists an October jobless rate of 6.9 percent, down from 7 percent in September and 7.2 percent in August.
