Veteran journalist Carl Hoffman believes he’s solved one of the great mysteries of the 20th century. In 1961 at the age of 23, Michael Rockefeller – son of New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller and a member of one of the richest and most powerful families in America ¬– travelled to remote New Guinea in search of primitive art for his father’s new museum.
More than a hundred motorcyclists rallied Saturday at the Franklin County Veterans Memorial. They were protesting plans by the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation to tear down the memorial and replace it with an amphitheater.
Plans were unveiled Tuesday to develop the area around COSI. 56 acres surrounding the center would be highlighted by a new veterans’ memorial, a downtown Columbus zoo exhibit, the creation of a new neighborhood and a lot more green space.
Local leaders announced today a new plan for the 56-acre area that borders the Scioto River and downtown Columbus.
