The Cleveland man accused of holding three women captive in his home for over a decade faced arraignment Wednesday on an expanded indictment charging him with 512 counts of kidnapping and 446 counts of rape, among other crimes.
Many claim funk music has its roots in Dayton, and local artists paid homage to it in this year’s annual “Visual Voices” exhibit at the city’s Victoria Theatre, where artists were challenged to create visual art that captures the essence and flavor of the Dayton funk sound.
Negotiations in the four-day old Reynoldsburg teacher’s strike are scheduled to resume this week-end. Both the board and teacher union representatives have agreed to meet again with a federal mediator on Sunday to try to reach a contract agreement. The resumption of talks occurs against the backdrop of strong community pressure.
