After finishing the season with 11 losses for the fifth consecutive year, the Cleveland Browns have fired head coach Pat Shurmur and general manger Tom Heckert.

Modell was one of the “founding fathers” of modern American football, but became best known for moving the Browns out of Cleveland in 1996.

The deal calls for Cleveland Browns owner Randy Lerner to sell all of his interest in the team over the next four years to Tennessee truck stop magnate Jimmy Haslam III.
