27-year-old Matthew McQuinn lived in Denver and was in the Aurora theatre with his girlfriend and her brother when shooting erupted last Friday. An attorney says McQuinn and Samantha Yowler’s brother used their bodies to protect her; her brother was not hurt and she was shot in the leg.

Visitation hours for McQuinn are set for Friday at the Springfield church he attended. His funeral is scheduled for Saturday.
