New Book Says “Soft Money” Is Changing American Democracy

In his new book, Daniel Tokaji details what he calls one of the most important recent developments in American democracy: the explosion of independent campaign spending, or “soft money.” Tokaji is an elections law professor at Ohio State University who’s new book is titled “The New Soft Money: Outside Spending in Congressional Elections.”
