Columbus artist Jenny Fine says her camera has become a tool for facilitating intimacy between herself and her family, and nowhere is that more evident than in her “Flat Granny” series, soon to be on view at the Dublin Arts Council. The artist photographed her grandmother during the last ten years of her life.
The Ohio Casino Control Commission has ruled that Columbus’ new Hollywood Casino can open Monday, October 8th. That’s several weeks earlier than previously announced. The casino’s owners might be trying to cash in on the success that Scioto Down’s so-called racino has experienced.
The range of job skills in Central Ohio includes banking and brewing to making cars and railroad carriages. But, one of the city’s newest employers says it needs workers with other skills and it has turned to several local colleges to give needed training.
