Mike Thompson was born in Worcester, Massachusetts and earned a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from The Syracuse University and a Masters in Business Administration from an Ohio State University. Mike has worked in public and commercial radio and television in New York, Massachusetts, and Ohio. During his career he has won numerous awards awards for investigative, enterprising, and feature reporting.

A familiar voice to Marketplace and Marketplace Money listeners, Tess Vigeland is a longtime public radio veteran, both as a reporter and host.

Drawing on his experience in covering 10 wars and stories in all 50 states and seven continents, Scott Simon brings a humorous, sophisticated and often moving perspective to Weekend Edition Saturday. He's adept at speaking to everyone, from heads of state to Hollywood celebrities.

Prior to becoming host of Wait Wait in 1998, Peter Sagal had a varied career including stints as a playwright, screenwriter, stage director, actor, extra in a Michael Jackson video, travel writer, essayist, ghostwriter and staff writer for a motorcycle magazine.

Ira Glass started working in public radio in 1978, when he was 19, as an intern at NPR's headquarters in DC. Over the next 17 years, he worked on nearly every NPR news show and did nearly every production job they had: tape-cutter, desk assistant, newscast writer, editor, producer, reporter, and substitute host. He moved to Chicago in 1989 and put This American Life on the air in 1995.

A native of Michigan, Ann Fisher decided to become a journalist in the third grade. In 1989, she moved to Columbus to cover state government and politics and joined The Columbus Dispatch in 1997, where she served on the paper’s editorial board, as state editor, and as metro columnist. Ann joined WOSU in August, 2009.

Terry Gross began her radio career in 1973 at public radio station WBFO in Buffalo, New York. Two years later, she joined the staff of WHYY-FM in Philadelphia as producer and host of Fresh Air. In addition to her work on Fresh Air, Gross has served as guest host for the weekday and weekend editions of NPR's All Things Considered.

Guy Raz is the weekend host of NPR News' signature afternoon newsmagazine All Things Considered. Raz was named host of the program in July 2009, after serving as an NPR foreign and domestic correspondent for nearly a decade.
