Zanesville Nursing Home Owner Faces 39 Charges
A grand jury has indicted the owner of a Zanesville nursing home on 39 charges, including forgery, tampering with evidence, and Medicaid fraud.
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced the charges against Stephen Hitchens this morning, more than a year after DeWine says investigators began looking into Autumn Health Care.
“Family members gave us permission for video surveillance, which permitted us to investigate alleged instances where staff members did not provide proper medical, nutritional, and personal care.”
It’s been one year since DeWine said the state would move to revoke the facility’s license.
