Indiana-based artist Tasha Lewis transforms the Conservatory’s gallery with thousands of magnetic cyanotype butterflies printed on cotton fabric. Her blue butterflies hover in mid-air and seem to swarm the space, blurring the connection between the natural and artificial worlds.
Columbus Girl Charged With Murder Will Be Tried As Adult
A 16-year-old Columbus girl accused of fatally stabbing a 17-year-old classmate who showed up at her house to fight last month is going to be prosecuted as an adult.
A juvenile court judge in Columbus made the ruling Monday. Ohio law requires an older juvenile charged with murder to be transferred to adult court if there is significant probable cause.
Columbus police say 17-year-old Jasmine Goodwin was killed May 28 on the city’s east side after she showed up at Cierra Howard’s house to fight.
Howard’s attorney says she acted after Goodwin, a junior at Walnut Ridge High School, showed up with a group of people, including one with a gun.
Judge Kim Browne set the girl’s bail at $50,000.
