Holiday moods often run the gamut between joy and melancholy. And, an Ohio State University researcher says an individual’s great expectations have a bearing on whether someone smiles or frowns. College of Social Work Professor, Gilbert Greene, says the key is to identify whether stress is likely to help or hurt one’s mood.
Woman Held By Columbus Police Jumps To Her Death
Columbus Police say a 27-year-old woman being questioned in a prostitution and drug investigation jumped to her death from a third-floor hotel window.
A police spokesman says two plainclothes officers were running warrant checks on four women and two men in a room at a Red Roof Inn in north Columbus on Tuesday night when Tiffany Vanover “suddenly went toward the window.” She died later at a hospital.
Sgt. Rich Weiner says the operation was routine until Vanover “got scared” and jumped.
The agency’s critical incident response team, which typically responds to officer-involved shootings, is investigating because the woman’s death occurred while she was in custody.
