Glouster Village Police Chief Arrested
Prosecutors say a southeastern Ohio police chief has been arrested on obstruction of justice charges.
Athens County prosecutors did not immediately release additional details on the arrest of Chief Luke Mace. He is the police chief in the village of Glouster.
County Prosecuting Attorney Keller Blackburn says a search warrant was executed at the Glouster Police Department on Friday evening with the cooperation of the mayor’s office.
The obstruction of justice charges are both fifth-degree felony counts. It wasn’t immediately clear if Mace had an attorney.
Blackburn says the arrest was a joint operation involving the county sheriff’s office, the Athens Police Department and the Ohio University Police Department.
