The State Highway Patrol has fired a trooper accused of driving drunk and hitting two parked cars outside a Short North bar.

Jeremy Garner, 35, was fired last week after other troopers testified they tried to keep him from driving away Skully’s Music Diner after a night of drinking in February.

Other troopers say Garner became “hostile” before leaving.

Garner was previously convicted of drunken driving in 2007.

Um. Why didn’t they arrest him. If he hit two parked cars, he narrowly missed some pedestrians there. ?
