The Blue Jackets lost to the San Jose Sharks on Thursday, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Well, the team of course didn’t want to lose. But a shootout loss still gets the team a point in a tight playoff race, and puts them even with the New York Rangers for second place in the Eastern Conference’s Metropolitan Division.

For a closer look at the late-season playoff push and Columbus’ chances, WOSU’s Steve Brown spoke with Columbus Dispatch reporter Aaron Portzline.
