Holiday moods often run the gamut between joy and melancholy. And, an Ohio State University researcher says an individual’s great expectations have a bearing on whether someone smiles or frowns. College of Social Work Professor, Gilbert Greene, says the key is to identify whether stress is likely to help or hurt one’s mood.
No Charges Against Officer In Central Ohio Crash That Killed 6
Prosecutors say no charges will be filed against a central Ohio police officer whose cruiser slammed into a car in an intersection, killing six members of a family.
Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien says that dash-cam video shows Upper Arlington Officer Shawn Paynter’s car drove into an intersection in suburban Columbus on a yellow light on the way to an emergency call on Oct. 18. A car driven by a Columbus man already had entered the intersection on a red light and stopped in the middle.
The subsequent crash killed the driver, his wife and four of their daughters.
O’Brien says in a letter to Perry Township’s police chief, a copy of which was obtained by The Associated Press, that there is no basis for criminal or traffic charges in the case.
