Columbus Council Votes To Fend Off Vote On Arena Deal
Columbus City Council is trying to keep the city’s contract to purchase Nationwide Arena off of the ballot.
Opponents of the city’s purchase contract for the arena gathered enough signatures to put the contract before voters. On Monday, council voted to have the petition signatures sent to the county board of elections to see if petition language meets ballot requirements.
Columbus is just one of several entities involved in the arena’s purchase.
