Pedestrian Hit, Killed On Brice Road
Columbus police say a 50-year-old man died when he was hit by a car while trying to walk across a busy road after dark.
Police say Marcus Allen Hughes was hit late Monday on Brice Road by a car that had just exited from Interstate 70.
The driver, 57-year-old Gloria Hector, pulled over afterward, and witnesses said other cars hit Hughes afterward. He was pronounced dead at the scene at about 8:30 p.m.
It was the city’s 39th traffic fatality of 2013.
