A Franklin County judge says electronic raffle machines used by veterans charities and fraternal lodges can continue to operate for the next several months until a lawsuit is settled.

The order comes after a lawsuit was filed Thursday against the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, which has said the electronic raffle machines are illegal gambling devices.

The lawsuit filed against Mike DeWine’s office says the raffle machines are legal, and should not be considered “illegal games of chance.”
