Bus Driver Has Monday Court Appearance For Child Endangerment
A Columbus City Schools bus driver will appear in court Monday morning on charges she endangered the lives of children.
According to police Tia Denton was legally drunk while behind the wheel of a city school bus last Monday afternoon. At least two 9-1-1 calls were made when people noticed the bus being driven erratically down Columbus streets with school children on board.
Police finally stopped the bus and arrested the 51-year-old Denton. She’s scheduled to appear in Franklin County Municipal Court next Monday morning.
