HHS Chief: Health Overhaul Website Glitches Being Fixed
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius says during a visit to her native Ohio that work is continuing to fix glitches that hampered the launch of the federal health care overhaul.
Sebelius acknowledged Wednesday at a panel discussion in Cincinnati on the Affordable Care Act that the launch was “rockier’ than officials would have liked. But she says work is being 24 hours a day, seven days a week to fix the system.
Consumer interest in the new health insurance markets has been strong. But technology glitches have frustrated many trying to sign up for coverage online.
Sebilius urged those who couldn’t get on the online site to come back. She says no one has lost any opportunities and the product won’t run out.
