Columbus Police Return To Headquarters After Evacuation
Columbus police are back in their headquarters building this morning after an evacuation overnight. Superviser Robert Little says an explosion heard by employees about 7:30 last night is linked to a battery on a scissor-lift.
The scissor-lift is situated in the first floor lobby of the building during a renovation project. The building was evacuated for about 6 hours, until 1 a.m. Wednesday, while the terrorism task force, K-9 units and swat teams checked each floor.
No injuries were reported.
