Oftentimes crop farmers keep their heads down while walking a field. But at this year’s Farm Science Review their eyes are on the sky. Ohio State aerospace engineer, Matthew McCrink is demonstrating unmanned aeriel vehicles or drones. The drones are equipped with high-resolution cameras to give literally a bird’s eye view of field conditions. But, McCrink says first he had to get clearance to fly the seven pound contraption.

McCrink is an aerospace engineer at Ohio State University. He is demonstrating the drone during the annual Farm Science Review near London.
