Trailer Fire In Tiffin Kills Six, Including Five Children
A friend says the mother of five young children killed in a mobile home fire identified them and kissed them goodbye. The fire Sunday morning in Tiffin killed the woman’s boyfriend and the children. The oldest child was six.
Police and a neighbor say the woman, Anna Angel, learned about the fire while working a shift at a nearby fast-food restaurant and raced home on her bicycle.
Co-worker Patricia Boes says she accompanied Angel as the woman identified her children at a hospital and kissed each one goodbye.
Authorities declined comment on a possible cause of the fire. A state fire marshal’s investigator says there were no indications of anything suspicious.
The investigator says it could take two days before authorities know how the six died.
