Number of Legionnaires’ Cases Grows Again
The number of cases of Legionnaires’ disease at a Reynoldsburg retirement facility continues to grow.
Officials at the Wesley Ridge Retirement Community reported Wednesday the number of victims has grown from 35 to 38.
Five people have died from the disease.
The majority of victims have been treated and sent home. Wesley Ridge is working with the Centers for Disease Control to eradicate the bacteria and officials say they are working with a contractor to ensure against recurrence.
