No Charges Filed Against Carlos Hyde, Suspended At Least 3 Games
Columbus police have officially closed their investigation into assault charges against an Ohio State player.
Following the announcement, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer suspended Hyde for at least the first three games of the upcoming season. In a statement, Meyer said Hyde’s actions were not representative of the football program or the university.
Police say a woman approached them earlier this month to report OSU running back Carlos Hyde struck her inside a Park Street bar.
She has since declined to pursue charges.
