In 1961 at the age of 23, Michael Rockefeller – son of New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller and a member of one of the richest and most powerful families in America ¬– travelled to remote New Guinea in search of primitive art for his father’s new museum.
Immigration Reformers Rally At Boehner’s Springfield, Ohio Office
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (AP) – Hundreds of activists for immigration reform that includes a path to U.S. citizenship rallied at an Ohio office of the speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Civil rights activists, labor leaders, religious leaders and others held a rally Saturday at John Boehner’s congressional office in Springfield. They want Boehner to push for immigration changes that include a “roadmap” for citizenship that they say will help the economy and families.
Boehner and other Republican leaders in the House have been trying to decide how to move forward on immigration after the Senate passed a comprehensive bill that included a path to citizenship for 11 million people already in the country illegally.
